Busy and friendly community espresso bars, long established in Rancho Santa Fe, are looking for outstanding baristas. If you’re seeing this days or even weeks after it’s been posted, go ahead and respond – we’re always looking for good people (and we take time to find them), and you may well find yourself working in an environment that suits you better than ever!
We serve our customers the full complement of coffee drinks, blended drinks, teas, and we bake on site. One location also serves frozen yogurt (so experience with those machines is a plus). We’re open 7 days a week and most holidays at least in the morning. The proprietor craft-roasts all the coffees in small batches, and we get a lot of love for that java. Check out our insta @CaffePositanoRSF for a more pics and google us for 15 years of our story. It’s a great atmosphere, and our customers are wonderful!
Barista experience is a big plus, but we’ll train the right person. Maturity, great attitude, getting along with coworkers and steady work experience with good references are super important.
We have been open and serving customers throughout the lockdown. Since early March 2020 we have developed and refined rigorous social distancing and sanitization protocols that have kept us and our customers safe. In addition to other qualifications, the ideal candidate will understand food safety and be naturally mindful of and at ease about Covid-19 precautions. Of course, we will train for all our particulars.
Must Be Available at least 4 shifts a week and available to work weekends.
4 to 6 hour shifts – a terrific job if you have other obligations (college students, parents etc)
Typical Shift Hours:
Our hours have changed to accommodate the pandemic. Following are our “normal” shifts, and we’ll be getting back to this schedule soon as practicable:
Closing shifts (1p-7p) – new employees always train in and graduate into closing shifts.
Mid-day shifts (8a-1p) are available after you’ve practiced to the point you’re no longer thinking about how to do what you do; your body just knows the moves and your mind is on what’s next and managing customers.
Morning shifts (5:30a – 10:30a) become possible after you’re really in the flow.
Total weekly hours average 24 to 29, with regular opportunities to score extra shifts
Our locations are within 2 miles of each other, and you would be scheduled at both locations and for a variety of shift times.
Not a temporary or seasonal job – we want to keep you!
Use our zip code 92067 to check your commute.
Working here gives you an opportunity to learn and do much more than most baristas. Your prospects of landing this job get a boost if your previous employers will sing your praises and you are responsible and eager to learn our recipes, processes and procedures.
